What made you take up surfing?
I come from a family of surfers, so it was only natural that I started surfing at a young age. My dad had me on a board since I was able to walk.
What do you love most about surfing?
The escape from reality when you’re on a wave. Nothing else in the world matters for a few moments.
What keeps you motivated?
My special friends and family that I surf with, I am incredibly grateful for them and all their support.
Favourite surf spot?
Byron Bay in Australia. I surfed only shortboard until I was about 12 years old and Byron bay was the first place I ever surfed a longboard, and fell in love with it.
Who is your role model? And why?
Kelia Moniz, she has immense style and grace in and out the water and I have looked up to her since I was a kid.
What is your surfing goal?
I’d love to compete in a few WSL longboard contests in the future but at the moment I just surf and compete for the love of it.
What advice would you give to the young girl groms wanting to follow a career in surfing?
Surf any chance you can get, even if the waves are bad and get out of your comfort zone.
